HH supervises all the outsourcing and handle the responsibility for the material quality and certifications. Because surface finishing options range from appearance to performance, it is best to discuss your application needs with us early in the design phase. Depending on your requirements, the finishing services we offer include:

  • Sand Blasting: Sand blasting is the process by which an abrasive media (also known as shots or blasting media) is accelerated through a blasting nozzle by means of compressed air, wherethe steel particles are commonly used to clean, strengthen(peen), or polish metal. Sand blasting aluminum parts give them an even, textured surface, creating a better bonding surface for painting or coating.
  • Vibratory Deburring: The process of vibratory deburring is to place the parts into a vibratory tumbler that tumbles and rotates the product in abrasive media to effectively remove excess sharp edges, burrs, and other imperfections from the surface of metal parts. Deburring can also prepare the surface for painting and other finishing applications, as well as improve the product’s aesthetic appeal.
  • Polishing: Polishing is the process of creating a smooth and shiny surface by rubbing it or by applying a chemical treatment, leaving a clean surface with a significant specular reflection.
  • Powder Coating: Powder coating, which is also known as powder paint, is a dry coating process that is typically applied electrostatically as dry powder, then cured with heat toachieve paint adhesion. Powder coating offers maximum efficiency and is also eco-friendly because it eliminates overspray wastage that may be experienced with solvent-based paints.
  • E Coating: E coating is also known as electrophoretic coating, electrodeposition coating, electrophoretic deposition (EPD), ED coating, etc. It is a type of wet paint finishing process where the paint is electrodeposited onto the metal surface.
  • Conversion Coating: Chromate conversion and chem films are types of conversion coating that can be applied to passivate aluminum die casting components. The basic purpose is to provide more effective method to not only add corrosion resistance and retain electrical conductivity, but also be used as a primer for paint or adhesives.
  • Anodizing: Anodize, or Anodization, is an electro-chemical passivation process by treating the component as an anode electrode in an electrical circuit. The purposeis to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer present on metals, resulting in an increase in resistance to corrosion and wear as well as better adhesion of paint primers and glues than just on bare metal.
  • Electroless Nickel Plating: Unlike electroplating, the electroless nickel plating consists in electroless deposition without any external source of electricity. This plating technique not only prevents corrosion and wear, but also can be used to manufacture composite coating by suspending powder in the bath. Compared to electroplating, EN plating has several advantages which one of them is free from flux-density and power supply issue and provides an even deposit regardless of workpiece geometry.
  • Impregnation: Casting impregnation, also known as vacuum impregnation, is a porosity sealing process that removes air from the pores/voids of leak paths in the component then fills it with a chemically and thermally resistant polymer sealant/resin so the casting becomes pressure tight. The impregnation process can provide sealing, reduced moisture, and enhanced integrity.
